Notes

20221206, #breakfastdiary 616, -3°C/mostly cloudy, 21min/exercise I keep a book by Shin Hyung-cheol close at hand and read a little of it every day. I once read, in a book about Native Americans, that the soul cannot fly as fast as an airplane. So when people travel by plane, they lose their soul along the way and arrive at their destination soulless. Even the Trans-Siberian train travels faster than a soul can fly. When I first came to Europe, I lost my soul somewhere along that train ride. (…) After that, I flew back and forth by plane several times, and I could never quite tell where my soul was. That, in any case, is the reason travelers are all soulless. (Shin Hyung-cheol, The Sorrow of Studying Sorrow) Boil well-soaked chickpeas, then blend them with olive oil, sesame seeds, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Blend, blend, blend. Add thyme, paprika powder, and yogurt, and it turns into a proper-tasting hummus.
