I keep Shin Hyung-cheol's book close by and read a little every day.
Let me talk about violence again. I once suggested that the scope of the word 'violence' should probably be widened as much as possible, and tried to define it broadly like this: 'Violence is any attitude that finds satisfaction in giving up the effort to be as sensitive as possible to the truth of a person or an event.' What I wanted to say is that the moment we could be more sensitive but choose not to be, potential — or actual — violence toward another person begins. Of course that's not the end of it; I've found myself thinking about violence often ever since.

Slice a sweet potato lengthwise and sear it on both sides in an oiled pan.
Mash half an avocado with salt, pepper and lime juice, then spoon it over the sweet potato. Finish with pecorino cheese, red pepper flakes and honey. #avocadotoppedsweetpotatotoast
