A morning when #tofunoodles and #spicycockles really call for a single drop of sesame oil
Robert Walser praised walking like this: "Walking on foot is the most beautiful, the best, the simplest thing there is—provided you have the right shoes on." I don't drive. I don't own a car. But I do have shoes. I pick out the pair I like and walk the flat streets. Uphill stretches feel like a chore, so I avoid them when I can. How ecstatic a walk must be on a day when snow has settled over everything. Walser died in just that kind of ecstasy.
(Kim Young-min, For a Life That Doesn't Need a Purpose)
I walk straight across downtown. The rule is: go straight, except at intersections—if the light doesn't change in time with my steps, I don't wait, I just turn left or right instead. I never stop while walking, and I never run.
Ingredients
1 block tofu, (store-bought) spicy cockle salad
Steps
1. Rinse 1 block of tofu under running water.
2. Top with (store-bought) spicy cockle salad. A drop of sesame oil would be nice on top.
