Burrata and Tomato Salad, and Networks

Notes

20210501, #breakfastdiary 77, 12°C/mostly cloudy Daejeo tomatoes with their pleasant natural sweetness, and the prettiest burrata in the world topped with basil pesto — this ultra-simple salad is great eaten straight, or tucked between slices of bread. I remember reading this in a book by Albert-László Barabási, the founder of complex network theory and author of #Linked, once a must-read for IT service planners: certain everyday events tend to happen in bursts. It's partly our human instinct for prioritizing, but even setting that aside, I've noticed similar things happening in bursts, unintentionally, from time to time. Yesterday I backed up a pile of overdue emails, and today I backed up the photos on my phone. The big events of the first half of the year are behind us, and now that it's May, I figure it's about time to back up the past 21 years too.
