The way a fine landscape painting does. (Hwang Hyun-san, There Is So Much I Don't Know.) While doing push-ups and planks, I sometimes think, "right now, I'm overcoming the earth's gravity." (Though during planks, honestly, all I think about is the relativity of time. Can time really crawl by this slowly?) That phrase — freedom that has slipped free of gravity — really resonates with me. Maybe the whole of human progress could be summed up as an attempt to overcome gravity. I keep #HwangHyunsan's book close by and sometimes read back through his tweets from that day.
