20210202, College student Toil gets pregnant after a whirlwind romance with her younger boyfriend Hohun. After giving birth, she declares her intention to marry, five-year plan and all — only to be met with her parents shouting, 'Who on earth do you take after, to end up like this?' Determined to find out, she tracks down her biological father, who turns out to be nothing but disappointing. Just as she returns home, heavy-hearted, her would-be husband Hohun goes mysteriously missing. It's a warm film with a steady stream of twists — the kind of movie that, like the line Toil says to Ilwol, is 'worth watching again.' Throughout the movie, Toil eats acorn jelly (dotorimuk) again and again. Her boyfriend Hohun even tells her, as she leaves for Daegu, 'If they don't have dotorimuk there, I'll mail you some.' I looked into what it might symbolize, but it turns out the director just likes dotorimuk.
