Radish, Pistachio & Radish Sprout Salad

20201117, There was a time when people were judged by blood type — Type A is timid, Type B is wild, that sort of thing. These days MBTI is having its moment instead. It sorts human personalities into 16 types, so it's probably a bit better at capturing individual traits than blood type. (Oh, and now that I think of it, there was also that thing about personality-by-favorite-snack.) A couple of days ago, while flipping through YouTube, I watched an interesting video about personality traits by birth order. First-borns, apparently, tend to represent responsibility, worry, control, and diligence. Second children, raised in a tug-of-war between an older and younger sibling, tend to have experienced confusion, competition, and unfairness. The youngest is usually the most doted-on, but supposedly struggles a bit with decision-making. And only children tend to be relaxed about most things and have trouble maintaining close relationships, but score high academically. #SuddenlyGrownUp #KimJiYoon “The Most Common Traits of First-Borns, Second Children, Youngests, and Only Children” Like blood type or MBTI, it's hard to sort humans into a handful of neat categories. So there's no reason — or need — to take it as gospel, but it really does help to understand where someone around you is coming from, and to build common ground by talking it through. In some future where forming human relationships has become difficult for whatever reason, maybe we'll all end up printing #TypeA #INFJ #OnlyChild #SnackPersonalityAce on our business cards, just to speed up making a connection.
