Kim Yong-sub's Uncontact: Digital Transformation Ricotta Salad

Notes

20201206, (Something I'd jotted down a while back) In 2018, Hyundai Card introduced RPA into its operations, and employee working hours dropped significantly while errors from simple mistakes also declined — a genuine improvement in the quality of work. RPA reportedly saved the company 15,628 work-hours a year, equivalent to the annual working hours of 70 employees. In other words, it was like gaining 70 extra workers for free. (Kim Yong-sub, Uncontact) #KimYongsub #Uncontact #RPA A bit later than other companies, but we've now introduced RPA into my own work. It seems like the perfect tool for any area involving fixed, repetitive tasks, and it should genuinely cut down working hours. What we need to guard against, though, is letting it turn into headcount reduction — because the number-one premise behind the digital transformation we're pursuing has to be people. #DigitalTransformation #digitaltransformation #DigitalTransformation So today: a very human ricotta cheese salad, standing up to the age of AI. Throw together whatever's left in the fridge — frisée, cucumber, green beans, cherry tomatoes, apple, celery — (thrown together, have you ever seen such a human recipe?), then scrape ricotta cheese all the way down with an ice cream scoop and drop it lightly on top. Scatter over the world's prettiest cranberries, long-soaked in Cuban rum, and some sliced almonds, roughly. For the dressing, balsamic, honey, lemon juice, olive oil, basil... except no basil on hand, so skip it — just toss it all together. Truly, a most human ricotta cheese.
