Nothing beats Bach's Goldberg Variations as BGM while writing, and among all the recordings, Glenn Gould's performance is the best. Experts often rank his 1955 debut recording and his 1985 recording, made shortly before his sudden death, as the finest. Both are great.
Approx. 350kcal green onion soup, made by dumping in a ton of green onion — though next time I'd only add 1 potato, this recipe below had too strong a potato flavor
Ingredients
3 green onions (white part only), 2 potatoes, 200ml milk, salt, pepper, 2 slices bread, olive oil
👉 like this
1. Finely chop the white part of the 3 green onions, peel the 2 potatoes, and roughly chop.
2. Heat olive oil in a coated pot, sauté the green onion, and once golden, add the potato and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
3. Pour in 600ml water and simmer until the potato is cooked through.
4. Turn off the heat and blend everything completely with a hand blender. I was supposed to add 200ml milk but didn't have any, so I added 2T ricotta cheese and 50ml water and blended more. Add 2t salt and 1/4t pepper. (Don't just trust this — taste and season as you go. Everyone's palate is different.)
5. Cube 2 slices of bread small, heat a pan with olive oil, sprinkle with 1t salt and 2t herbs, and toast crisp.
6. Ladle the soup into a bowl, pile the croutons generously on top, and sprinkle parsley~
