One of China's classic breakfast staples — youtiao and doujiang.
They're written 油(oil)条(stick), pronounced you+tiao, and 豆(bean)醤(sauce), pronounced dou+jiang.
Youtiao brings to mind a Korean sugar-twist doughnut (kkwabaegi) that hasn't been rolled in sugar, but it's much chewier and nuttier. Doujiang, as the name suggests, is close to a savory soy milk. The pairing of savory-on-savory is quite a charming combination.
