Slice cabbage, carrot, and perilla leaves, and toss with vinaigrette dressing and plenty of pepper #cabbagecarrotsalad
Sometimes I feel like I overdo the pepper, but back in medieval times it was a symbol of wealth, so I let it slide.
Carlo Rovelli, the Italian theoretical physicist sometimes called 'the second Stephen Hawking,' tells a fascinating story in The Order of Time. "In some places time runs slowly, and in others it runs fast." Time runs faster in the mountains and slower on the plains. Rovelli also explains how time moves differently between someone standing still and someone in motion. According to him, "A friend who is moving ages less than a friend standing still, has less time to think, and the clock he's watching runs slower." In short, a moving object experiences more time than a stationary one. Applied to human life, it means that people who keep moving experience more of life's time than those who don't.
