Staying up too late comes back around as a humble breakfast.
Slice corn lengthwise onto a plate, then add olive oil, white balsamic, pepper, parsley, pink peppercorns, and ricotta cheese.
At Belgian and German train stations, announcements are mostly about departure times and locations, delays, or platform changes. On subways and buses, they announce destinations, and in Germany, where masks are mandatory, mask announcements come in both German and English. That's about it.
Korea is different. Every time a subway car's doors open and close, there's an announcement telling you they're opening, they're closing, be careful. Since COVID-19, every bus ride comes with a mask reminder — not just when you board, but every time anyone else boards too.
In other words, what Germany and Belgium reserve for truly necessary announcements, Korea treats as a kind of customer-care service. At first glance, Korea looks more customer-centered. But think again, and it seems more about the service provider showing off their diligence through that so-called consideration than about the customer at all.
