First Draft Brunch

20201127, Someone hands me a proposal, hesitating: “It's just a draft.” A draft, usually, is the first attempt at writing something before it's made official. Since it's the first version, you'd assume the Chinese character in the word for 'draft' means 'first' — but surprisingly, it's actually the character for 'grass.' So a draft, literally, is a plan that sways like grass. #draft Let's remember that — you, me, all of us — we've all had moments of swaying in the wind like grass. So, truly, I'm rooting for you. Getting off work at dawn yesterday turned this from #breakfast into #brunch.
