A Stay-Home Halloween and Halloween Apples

2020-10-31

Notes

(Halloween Special) A festival celebrated every October 31st across the English-speaking world. The commonly used spelling is 'Halloween,' though under the official Korean transliteration rules it's technically rendered 'Helloween' (source: Namu Wiki). Still, to us, '#halloween' is the familiar one. In Catholicism, November 1st is 'All Saints' Day,' so the story goes that the souls of the dead wandered the streets the night before, on October 31st, and that's how Halloween came to be. Not entirely baseless, it seems. Still, with everyone on edge this year, it's probably best to hold off on outdoor Halloween activities. A super-simple treat that kids and grown-ups alike will love, made for a #stayhomehalloween: #halloweenapples #apple *Check the story for how to make them~
