I know a great deal about patience, and I know all too well what society expects of women. I also know my own experience can't compare to that of the women fighting on the front lines of crisis. But there's one thing I can do, in this moment of joy in my career — turn the spotlight onto those who so often go unrecognized: the women rebuilding communities, caring for children and the elderly, and putting food on the table.
