Wash the prettiest cherries in the world thoroughly and remove the stems and pits. Whisk 2 eggs with 35g sugar, then mix in 30g melted butter, 100g milk, and 50g flour until well combined. Pour the batter into a pan, add the cherries, and bake in a 180°C oven for 40 minutes. My first movie of the year, #FirstCow, is about the friendship between two men who secretly steal milk from the only cow in town to make biscuits (like scones) to sell. A clafoutis shows up in the film's later half — and unfortunately, it's this very clafoutis that gives away their milk-stealing scheme.
