Slice up the prettiest cucumber, cherry tomatoes, and red onion in the world, and add a bright lemon-juice-based dressing that still suits (for now) the summer. A little dill and pepper too. #cucumbertomatosalad
'The flight crew has the final authority, always'
'All humans make mistakes'
The former is Boeing's philosophy, the latter is Airbus's. Both are baked directly into how their planes are engineered - for instance, Boeing's aircraft are designed so that, under normal circumstances where you'd never need to bank the wings past 90 degrees anyway, the pilot can still override and adjust the angle at their own judgment. Airbus, on the other hand, is built so that even if the pilot gives a command, the computer analyzes it first and only executes it within limits it judges aerodynamically safe.
Organizations and individuals alike operate and act based on some such philosophy or principle. But a philosophy or principle is the result of a long process of trial and error. Much like today's strict aviation regulations, which exist because of countless accidents and lives lost. It's often said, after all, that every aviation regulation is written in blood.
