Let's roast some cabbage. It's actually pretty tasty, more than it looks.
You need red cabbage (regular cabbage works too) and mozzarella cheese. Pretty simple, right?
Let's call it grilled red cabbage — no, let's give it some flair and call it #redcabbagesteak,
Slice the red cabbage 1cm thick and skewer with a satay stick. It'll hold the cabbage together so it doesn't fall apart.
Heat olive oil in a pan, add the red cabbage, salt and pepper, and grill on both sides. Butter would add even more richness, but today let's stick with olive oil,
Top with mozzarella cheese, cover with a lid, and cook on low heat for about 5 minutes. Pepper to finish,
Ingredients
- 1/4 red cabbage
- 4T mozzarella cheese
- olive oil
- salt
- pepper
- satay skewer
Steps
1. Slice the red cabbage 1cm thick, then skewer with a satay stick to keep it from falling apart.
2. Heat olive oil in a pan, add the red cabbage from step 1, and drizzle both sides with 1T olive oil, a pinch of salt, and pepper.
3. Top the red cabbage with mozzarella cheese, cover with a lid, and cook over low heat for about 5 minutes (until the mozzarella melts). Finish with a pinch of pepper.
