I marinated the striploin in thyme last night, then this morning added rosemary and made a salad with apple mint on the side. Probably just my imagination, but even behind my mask on the way to work, my mouth felt full of herbal fragrance. There's an old saying: a flower's scent travels a hundred li, wine's scent a thousand li, and a person's character ten thousand li. I should probably keep quiet today.
Before going to bed, I take the #striploinsteak out of the freezer, drizzle it with olive oil, thyme, salt, and pepper, and let it marinate. In the morning, I heat olive oil in a pan, sear the steak briefly, then add rosemary and cover with a lid.
Toss celery, bell peppers, lemon, tomato, and black olives together, then drizzle with dressing. Scatter apple mint over the top right before eating.
