(Breaking) The 5th episode of my daily-breakfast series, 'The Night Makes a Better Breakfast,' just went up
Slicing tomato really thin turned out to be harder than I expected, but let's just say I sliced it moderately thin on purpose, for the texture. A roughly 400kcal tomato carpaccio
Ingredients
1 tomato, red onion, blue cheese, a little basil, (dressing) 3T olive oil, 1T balsamic vinegar, a pinch of salt
Steps
1. Sharpen the knife.
2. Slice the tomato thin crosswise (like you're filleting it).
3. On a plate, mix 3T olive oil, 1T balsamic vinegar, a pinch of salt, and chopped basil together well.
4. Lay the thin tomato slices over the dressing and top with red onion, blue cheese, and basil. Finish with olive oil and pepper.
