It's the question of why the titles we use to address God are masculine. 'God the Father' is one example, as are 'the Father' and 'the Son.' And it's not just references to God himself — even the recipients of God's grace are described almost entirely in masculine terms. I found myself wondering why words that might seem perfectly natural to some people turned out that way. I've even thought about writing something grounded in these questions. Ever since I started thinking this way, I've been looking into related books and broadening my thinking.
