Strawberry Salad

Last fall, cold damage and a late monsoon season destabilized the lettuce supply, and chains like McDonald's and Subway ended up selling burgers without lettuce or pulling salads from the menu entirely. Strawberries and tangerines are facing something similar these days. Because of abnormal weather, strawberry prices have jumped 68.9% and tangerines 20.9%. Maybe a future is coming soon where the Korean peninsula shifts to a tropical climate, other fruits (say, bananas and mangoes grown in Gangwon-do) take the place of strawberries and tangerines, and then eventually even those disappear too.
