Today's breakfast is the #bananabeetcake I baked at midnight last night.
(Forearms fully engaged) Julienne 1 beet and set it aside. Mix 200g soft flour, 3 eggs, 100g butter, 80g sugar, almond powder, 6g dry yeast, and 1/2 tsp salt, then fold in the prepared beet and let it sit for about 15 minutes. Bake at 180°C for 50 minutes.
*I think it would be fine to add about 100g of sugar.
*A pound cake is originally named for using flour, eggs, butter, and sugar in a 1:1:1:1 ratio, one pound each. A pound is 453g, so I do wonder what it would taste like made exactly to that recipe.
Yesterday a former coworker who left the company suddenly came to mind, so I sent a message to check in, and got back: "Every time I see a bitcoin headline, I think of you, team lead. Thanks for texting." I think we must have had some pretty deep conversations about the history of capital, once upon a time.
