It's not that long a stretch of time, but on days when I hand the cooking over to the oven, it somehow feels like I'm buying back time - a bit different from buying time in a way most people wouldn't relate to, like a fast-track pass.
"Meaty oyster mushroom" is a brand name - it's actually santari mushroom. Apparently it's branded meaty oyster mushroom because it's chewier and has more of a meat-like texture. I've used it instead of meat in various breakfasts, and it's quite good.
Even better roasted in the oven. About 240kcal, Baked Mushroom Steak.
Ingredients
a handful of meaty oyster mushrooms, 3T tomato sauce, a little parsley and parmesan cheese
Steps
1. Place the meaty oyster mushrooms on an oven pan, sprinkle with olive oil, salt, and pepper, and roast in a 200°C oven for 20 minutes.
2. (It'd be nice to make my own tomato sauce, but today I'm just using store-bought.) Put the tomato sauce on a plate and microwave for 30 seconds. Top with the mushrooms from step 1, parsley, and parmesan cheese.
