Baby greens with the prettiest little apples in the world, pomegranate seeds and almonds, and a vinaigrette-based dressing finished with honey. #AppleSalad
The #DisneyPlus launch show is the talk of the town. Its finale in particular — a hologram show of Disney content projected onto landmarks all across the country, from Seoul to Suwon, Jeonju, and Busan — practically looks like a Korea Tourism Organization promo video.
But on the other hand, this morning's newspaper headline, 'In the age of OTT, media polarization deepens for those who can't afford to watch,' hit especially close to home. Squid Game is only on Netflix, Star Wars is only on Disney+ (and realistically no one can subscribe to every single OTT service), so that divide could breed its own kind of disconnection, discrimination, or exclusion. And once domestic services like TVING, Wavve, and Watcha are joined by overseas OTT giants like HBO Max and Amazon Prime, things only get more complicated.
Is 'the value of public broadcasting, accessible to everyone, for everyone' about to become an old-fashioned notion?
