Notes
20201210, 1) 'If you don't know, ask' -> 2) you ask -> 3) 'You still don't know that?' -> 4) you stop asking -> back to 1
1) 'Do you really need to be told everything?' -> 2) you use your own judgment -> 3) 'Why'd you just decide that on your own?' -> 4) you go passive -> back to 1
A story that circulates under the name #TheOfficeWorkersMobiusStrip — something that crossed my mind after watching a batch of passionate job applicants the other day. Fellow seniors, life is one long string of trial and error; let's not do this to them.
The world of breakfast is no different — it takes at least three rounds of trial and error before the taste and look come together properly. This is only my second attempt at shrimp buckwheat noodle salad, so I figure it'll come together better next time. Boil the buckwheat noodles, drain, rinse in cold water, then toss with a little olive oil and salt. Sear the shrimp in a pan with olive oil, salt, and pepper, then slice cucumber thin with a peeler and wrap it snugly around the shrimp before laying it over the noodles. Drizzle with a dressing of olive oil, white wine vinegar, and whole-grain mustard, and enjoy.
