I slice tomatoes and let them marinate in vinaigrette. In a pan with olive oil, I lightly toast some bread.
Onto the toasted bread I lay the marinated tomatoes with a pinch of salt, then arrange sliced avocado neatly on top, finishing with olive oil, pepper, lemon juice, and lemon zest.

Chronos is time in its ordinary sense: the natural time that simply flows on whether we do anything or not — calendar time, objective time. It's a concept of time given equally to everyone.
Kairos is conscious, subjective time — the time of opportunity and decision, when a single choice in the moment can shape a life. It's the meaning we assign within the Chronos we're all given equally. (Isn't there such a thing as a minute that feels like an hour, and an hour that feels like a minute?)
There have been quite a few changes, and there will be more to come. Moments of opportunity, choice, and decision keep returning. That's why we need to live in Kairos time.
