Micro-Moments, Niçoise Tuna, and Kaipira Lettuce

Notes
20201102, a story from a book I once read, "The Power of Moments." Chris realized he'd left his son's stuffed giraffe, "Joshie," behind at the Ritz-Carlton, and asked the hotel to send it back. He comforted his son by saying, "Joshie is just on vacation, you'll see him soon" (and let the hotel in on the story too). A while later the hotel sent the toy back, along with photos of Joshie the giraffe lounging on a pool chair, driving a golf cart, and getting a massage at the spa. (Thanks to the staff's thoughtfulness, he really was on vacation.) Chris and his family ended up remembering that hotel more for the 'moment' the giraffe arrived than for any service they got during their actual stay.
In this age of flooding media and content, there's no shortage of theories about how to capture a user's 'micro-moments.' But once you strip away all the excess, I think only 'authenticity' is left standing.
#micromoments refers to those brief instants when someone searches on their smartphone for information they're curious about, or something they want, and instantly satisfies that urge. #micromoments
Today's breakfast is a #niçoisetunasalad. Wash the tender #kaipira lettuce well and cut it into bite-sized pieces, then top with black olives, tomato, boiled egg, and well-drained #tuna. Blanch briefly in a pan with a little water and a pinch of salt before adding. Finish with a dressing of olive oil, whole-grain mustard, and white wine vinegar. #breakfast #breakfast #salad #myfrenchstylesalad
*Kaipira could probably be swapped for lettuce or any other leafy green.
