Blanch sausages in boiling water. Wrap them in the prettiest rice paper in the world. Drizzle oil in a pan and pan-fry until they're almost like they've been deep-fried. I keep wanting to chew on something.
I used to love going to Gyeongridan-gil for lunch. Since then, Seoul has gotten Mangridan-gil, Bongridan-gil, and Songridan-gil, and outside Seoul all sorts of “-ridan-gil” streets have popped up too — Haengridan-gil (Suwon), Pyeongridan-gil (Incheon), Hwangridan-gil (Gyeongju), Gaekridan-gil (Jeonju), Dongridan-gil (Gwangju), Bongridan-gil (Daegu). Meanwhile, Gyeongridan-gil, the original that started it all, has become almost impossible to recognize these days. That's what I found myself thinking after visiting #yongridangil yesterday.
