Tteokbokki, Fighting Heat with Heat

20210721, #breakfastdiary 157, 27°C/clear With news that a heat dome—formed where the Tibetan high meets the North Pacific high—would push Seoul's high today up to 38°C, I thought, 'right, #fightheatwithheat,' and wanted to soak rice cakes and make #tteokbokki using what's supposedly the golden-ratio sauce: 1 part gochujang, 2 parts gochugaru, 2 parts sugar, 2 parts soy sauce, 400ml water. But since the rice cakes in my fridge had mysteriously vanished, today's breakfast ended up being store-bought #tteokbokki instead.
