'reveal in 60 seconds' kind of taste, you could say? 😃 I once bought the same brand's beer and beer-flavored drink (a.k.a. non-alcoholic beer) to taste-test side by side. The beer-flavored drink had a malty beer flavor about ten times stronger, so much so that I felt like I could easily tell them apart even blind. It seems the more lacking and thin something is, the louder it tends to shout. I heard there's a menu item that serves truffle alongside a fried egg, and I got curious about the taste and aroma, but dried truffle just doesn't seem to cut it. Or maybe my sense of smell has just been spoiled by that potato chip that introduced me to the world of truffle with a mere 0.0000007% truffle content, because the taste and aroma here feel lukewarm. Sniff sniff sniff🐽🐽🐽 Fried egg with dried truffle, a pinch of salt, and truffle oil~ - Anyway, even though that potato chip only contains a whopping 0.0000007% truffle, its strong truffle aroma numbed my sense of smell — and now, facing real dried truffle, I don't get that familiar truffle scent at all. Is this my nose's fault?
