"People in Hunan Province generally start their day with a steaming bowl of mifen."
In the animation Our Seasons (Episode 1: A Warm Breakfast), a bowl of sanxian mifen (三鮮米粉) holds the narrator's childhood, grandmother, and a first love that once passed through, all fully dissolved into it. That's what food is like.
