This peach, somehow, spent enough time in the fridge that a firm peach edged close to becoming a soft, juicy one. Fresh flavor and good looks were no longer really on the table.
Meanwhile, kaymak — which has been popping up everywhere lately — has a texture a bit like clotted cream. And just as clotted cream pairs best with jam, kaymak, it turns out, wants honey.
So today's breakfast is a #peachsalad finished as a three-way combo: a peach that's lost its freshness but gained ripe sweetness, kaymak, and honey.
Ingredients
- 1 peach
- 2T kaymak
- mint
- pepper
- 1T honey
Steps
1. Wash the peach well and cut it into wedges.
2. Arrange the peach on a plate, and tuck kaymak and mint between the slices.
3. Sprinkle with pepper and drizzle with honey.
